Drinking Problem

Drinking Problem
6 August 2013

Summer time and the living is hot and thirsty.
There’s a drinking problem in our household.

Empties

The Drinkers are guzzling out on the front porch.
Small plant. Small drinker.

Sweet potato vine attempts to hide the empty.

Gargoyle was hoping the clear bottle on the right and red goblet weren’t quite this obvious.

The hydrangea has a two bottle problem.

Kath: who is the enabler, having discovered upside down bottles of water in a pot keep plants ‘watered’.

  1. What a clever idea!I'm going to have to try this, but where in the world will I get wine bottles?

    1. AHA! THe blue bottle is a water bottle. Don't tell. And one of the green is cooking wine. Again, don't tell. I figure any bottle, plastic or glass ought to work. Keeps the soil from drying out, and the plants well 'lubricated.'

    1. It's kind of amazing. The potted hydrangea doesn't wilt in the afternoon now.
      Thank you for reading, Vicki.
