Ready, Set, Skirt on Backwards

Ready, Set, Skirt on Backwards
2 May 2013

Yesterday I got the cover for my entry for the Finals judging of the CBAY writing contest!! And I am not overly excited or bejabbered to see one of my manuscripts with a book cover!!!
I am completely calm, cool, and collected about being in the Finals. I’m ready for this. Ready for the public voting, on May 15-30, 2013 at

Seeing my book with a professional cover has not rattled me, and certainly played no part in what happened this morning. The Prince Consort suggested we go hit some golf balls. Because the golf course has standards, (a little less stylish than my book’s minor demon Posso’s dress code, which meant I did not need a wide-brimmed feathered hat) I dug out and zipped into my golf skirt. Okay, the zipper wouldn’t go all the way up, but for once not because I was too fluffy to fit. I walked around the house for 30 minutes trying to figure out why the skirt fit so oddly, and why the zipper wasn’t zipping. Thirty minutes until I noticed the skirt pockets were backwards. Sigh. At least I didn’t leave the house with the skirt on backwards. I swear.

Did I show you the ebook cover?

I am so relaxed about the possibility that at the end of this month, just maybe enough readers will like my Pansy Pants book and vote for my book, that I’ll win a real live contract to have my first book published.

Did I read my book’s blurb to you?

Everyone in Devil’s Millhopper knows that magic isn’t real. Everyone, that is, except Pansy V. Pants. Pansy just knows that if she can learn to do magic, real magic — the ghoul cool kind that lets you turn bullies into frogs and stop time, then she’ll never have to be afraid again.
Kath: Yep. Just checked all my clothes are on the right way around. Wait. This LeHigh University T shirt, do the words go on the back or the front. No pockets! ARGH!

Did I show you the cover of Pansy Pants and the Search for Magic?

  2. With havin so much written content do you ever run into
any problems of plagorism or copyright violation?
My site has a lot of exclusive content I've either created myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my agreement. Do you know any methods to help stop content from being stolen? I'd certainly
    appreciate it.
